This study aims to discuss how the influence of lecturer power and the use of language in classroom interaction on effective learning. This study investigates lecturer discourse and lecturer-student discourse communities in the classroom. Through this explanation of critical classroom discourse analysis, the researcher proposes to distribute the concepts of classroom interaction between teachers and students. It explains the role of lecturer power and the use of language in classroom interactions to create characteristics and good learning outcomes. The analysis of this study is based on the theory of critical classroom discourse analysis in which lecturer power and language use are incorporated from Fairclough's theory. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method that discusses data in the form of words and is not displayed as numerical data. The instrument in this study was a student of the Islamic Education Study Program who was an EFL (English Foreign Language) student in fifth semester at Hasyim Asy'ari University, Tebuireng, Jombang. The results showed that the lecturer's power and the use of language through classroom interactions had a positive influence on classroom interactions and could contribute to the student's learning process. The greater the influence of the lecturer's power and mastery of language as well as good classroom interaction will result in effective learning.
